👤 About Sam

Sam Rivers maintains GAGdata.com's entire crop database — every one of the 303 crops across all seven rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythical, Divine, and Prismatic. With 600+ hours of dedicated in-game testing, Sam is the most experienced crop specialist on the team.

Every base Sheckle value, rarity classification, soil preference, and mutation compatibility in the crop database was recorded by Sam directly in-game — harvesting without mutations, reading the sell confirmation screen, and documenting the result. Screenshots are taken for all new or changed values as a verification record.

Sam also authored the suite of rarity-specific crop guides (Common through Prismatic), the special crop guides for Golden Goose, Bone Blossom, Celestiberry, and Aurora Blossom, as well as the weather events and soil types guides. All data is updated within 12 hours of every Saturday patch.

Sam's Areas of Expertise

All Crop Base Values

All 303 Grow a Garden crop base Sheckle values verified by harvesting each crop without mutations and reading the sell output directly. The only crop database where every value has been in-game tested.

Rarity Tier Classification

Every crop correctly classified across all 7 rarity tiers — Common, Uncommon, Rare, Legendary, Mythical, Divine, and Prismatic — with in-game confirmation of egg source and obtain method.

Soil Preferences

Documented which crops respond to which soil types and the exact yield bonus each soil interaction produces. The Soil Types guide is the definitive reference for soil-optimised farming.

Weather Events

All weather events documented with their effect on crop values and growth rates. Helps farmers know when to harvest early or wait for a weather bonus.

Special & Event Crops

Golden Goose, Bone Blossom, Celestiberry, Aurora Blossom, and all event-exclusive crops documented with full mechanics, how to obtain, and verified Sheckle values.

Crop-Mutation Compatibility

Which mutations apply to which crops — tested and documented for all 303 crops. Works alongside Morgan Blake's mutation guides to help players maximise per-crop value.

🔬 Verification Methodology

1

Direct harvest for base values

Each crop's base Sheckle value is recorded by harvesting with zero mutations applied and reading the exact figure from the in-game sell confirmation screen.

2

Screenshot documentation

Screenshots are taken for each new or changed value as a verification record. Provides an audit trail for all data points and resolves community disputes about values.

3

Soil interaction testing

Soil bonuses are measured by growing the same crop in different soil types under identical conditions and measuring the output difference. Each soil type is tested independently.

4

Weather event measurement

Weather event effects are measured by harvesting crops during active weather events and comparing output to baseline no-weather harvests of the same crop.
